ECWDS (Enjoy Computer With Divyakant Sir) was established in 1998 in Surat, Gujarat. The name ECWDS was chosen to reflect the philosophy of the founder — that computers should be enjoyed, not feared. Divyakant Sir, who had already been teaching computers at the Experimental School, Surat, started ECWDS to provide dedicated, personalised computer tuition to board-exam students in Surat.

Over the past 27+ years, ECWDS has grown from a single classroom to 3 branches across Surat — Citylight, Nanpura, and Pal (Adajan) — serving over 18,000 students in total.
